Sputnik V, the Russian vaccine against coronavirus will be produced in Turkey. The Russian Fund for Direct Investment made a deal with Turkish pharmaceutical company Viscoran Ilaç, Strana.ua news agency reports.
"Viscoran Ilaç carried out preparations for localization of production and it plans to start the production of Sputnik V within the coming months on several enterprises", reads the message.
According to the Fund, Sputnik V is registered in 61 countries with total population of more than three billion people. The vaccine's efficiency is estimated on the rate of 97.6 percent, based on the results of the survey on the morbidity rate among Russians inoculated with two shots from December 2020 to March 2021.
Earlier, Hungary claimed that Sputnik V was the most efficient and the safest vaccine from coronavirus. Onm the other hand, the Czech Republic refused from the Russian vaccine amidst the diplomatic scandal with Russia.
