Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain Alfonso Dastis will pay a working visit to Ukraine on October 29-30. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin will meet with his Spanish counterpart on Monday, October 30.

Spain is now experiencing a crisis because of the declaration of independence by Catalonia.

As it was reported earlier the parliament of Catalonia voted for the independence from Spain at the secret vote as El Pais reported. According to the BBC, 70 MPs voted for the independence, 10 voted in the negative and two abstained. Also, the supporters of the independence gathered near the regional parliament.

Ukraine supported the territorial integrity of Spain within the internationally recognized borders and does not recognize the independence of Catalonia that was proclaimed unilaterally as the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported. 'Ukraine supports the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Spain within the internationally recognized borders. Ukraine does not recognize the unilateral proclamation of the independence of Catalonia', the message said.
