The solution of the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine is one of the key priorities of the OSCE. Enzo Moavero Milanesi, the Foreign Minister of Italy claimed this at the session of the Permanent Council of the OSCE on August 30.
“The search for a sustainable solution to the crisis in and around Ukraine is among the main priorities of the Italian OSCE Chairmanship,” he said.
According to him, “the sides have to assume their responsibility, based on full respect of the ceasefire and on a relaunch of the political process within the Trilateral Contact Group and the Normandy format.”
Also, Milanesi claimed about the progress in the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on Nagorno-Karabakh and the improvement of the situation in Transnistria.
However, as we reported Italian Interior Minister and Vice Prime Minister Matteo Salvini considers the annexation of Crimea legal and said that the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine is fake.
Moreover, Giuseppe Conte, the Prime Minister of Italy, agreed with Donald Trump, the U.S. President, that Russia has to return to G8. Moreover, earlier he stood for the reconsideration of the system of the European sanctions against Russia.
