The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) stated that Ukraine had abandoned the coordination mechanism as part of additional measures set to monitor the ceasefire in Donbas.
This was reported by Strana with reference to the Telegram channel of DNR’s Foreign Ministry.
"Ukraine has refused to use the ceasefire coordination mechanism agreed upon on July 22, as part of measures set to strengthen the ceasefire. Thus, all additional measures have been diminished by the Ukrainian side," the statement said.
According to the ministry, the DNR has consistently advocated that cooperation within the coordination mechanism was carried out in all available ways, including joint review of violations and joint inspections.
As we reported earlier, on September 11, advisers to the heads of the Normandy Four countries agreed to continue the ceasefire in Donbas.
"The parties agreed to continue adhering to the ceasefire in Donbas," reads the message.
Nevertheless, according to the representative of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak, there were no breakthroughs following the meeting.
