Marek Krajci, the Slovakian Healthcare Minister resigned due to the scandal that occured in the Parliament. It appears that the official procured Sputnik-V, the Russian vaccine from Covid-19 - secretly, without informing his partners in the parliamentary coalition. Novinky reported that on March 11.

The politicians initially demanded resignation of Igor Matovic, the Prime Minister. However, they managed to agree on Krajci's resignation. It was the condition to save the coalition in the Slovakian Parliament. Healthcare Minister's resignation will be taking place gradually.

"I want the new minister to stay in power for several weeks in this tough period, so that the transfer of power is smooth and does not affect the public healthcare system", Matovic said.

Earlier, we reported that the EU officials plan to include Sputnik V vaccine in the register of drugs that enable the receiving of the so-called coronavirus passport after the vaccination. The document provides the right for free movement within the EU as Bloomberg reported.

“The EU Covid Card/digital green certificate will comprise three documents that will specify if the holder has gotten a vaccine and which one; the results of a coronavirus test if taken; and details on whether they have recovered from a Covid-19 infection,” as the source reported who is familiar with the European Commission’s draft regulation.
