Prime Minister of Slovakia Igor Matovič stated that antigen tests would be conducted at the state borders starting from November 9. Citizens will need to show a negative PCR test or take an antigen test.
Foreign Ministry Secretary of State Martin Klus clarified that antigen testing would begin at the Ukrainian border on November 9. The tests will be run by a private company. Speaking on other border crossings, such tests may be conducted no earlier than November 15.

As of November 1, 46 million cases have been observed worldwide; 1.2 million people deceased. A further increase in incidence was observed in the European region.
A considerable increase in the mortality rate is also observed in the same region and the entire world.
