The Foreign Ministry of Slovakia stated that Ukraine is an important neighbor for them and they supported the Ukrainian European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations and do not recognize the violations of the territorial integrity.
“Telling about the situation in temporarily occupied Crimea, Emine Dzhaparova (the first deputy foreign minister of Ukraine, - 112.international) drew attention to the deterioration of the situation with the human rights and ongoing militarization of the peninsula by the Russian occupation administration that endangers the security of the Black Sea-Azov Sea region. The first deputy foreign minister noted that over 28,000 Ukrainian citizens were drafted to the Russian army since the beginning of the occupation of the peninsula; over 160 criminal cases were opened by the occupation authorities for evasion from military service,” the message said.
Emine Dzhaparova underlined the readiness of Slovakia to participate in the Crimean Platform summit.
Earlier, it was reported that the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine plans to hold the Crimean summit with the participation of the Russian side. The holding of the summit is planned for 2021. It is expected that the summit would be held on August 23.
Besides, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine would create the Crimean Platform to protect the rights of Crimean citizens and de-occupy the peninsula.
