Jean Asselborn, the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg made a decision to withdraw the ambassador from Moscow for the consultation due to the Skripal case as the press service of the Luxembourgish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
It is noted that the Foreign Ministry officially confirmed its support of the UK due to the poisoning of Sergey Skripal, the former Russian agent.
‘The government agrees with the estimation of the British government that it is most likely that Russia is responsible for this incident and there is no other plausible explanation’, the message said.
Earlier Asselborn claimed that Luxembourg does not intend to expel the Russian diplomats.
As for today 27 countries of the world announced the expulsion of 144 workers of the Russian diplomatic missions in the response to the chemical attack in Salisbury. Ukraine also joined the sanctions and claimed the expulsion of 13 diplomats.
