Latvia hosts the Silver Arrow 2017, the multinational military drills involving eleven NATO member countries.
According to Latvian defense ministry, the 3,500-strong contingent will consist of soldiers from Latvia, Albania, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The forces will simulate and solve missions that are ‘pivotal for the country’s protection’, the authority reported.
The exercise will be running till October 29.
