The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal instructed the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy to personally control the lifting of the Delfi vessel in Odesa. The prime minister wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"I instructed the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krikliy to take personal control over the raising of the Delfi ship in Odesa. After all, so far we see the inability to resolve the issue both on the part of the ship's owner and on the part of local authorities," Shmygal writes.
He also clarified that Krykliy reported another attempt at lifting by the owner of the vessel before the end of this week. If it is unsuccessful, the owner will give up the ownership of the tanker, and then the State Administration of the seaports will deal with this issue.
"Now all the bodies subordinated to the government are working out additional scenarios in order to solve the problem with the sunken tanker as soon as possible, which pollutes the sea and interferes with navigation," the prime minister added.
As we reported earlier, the Commission on Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations decided that the Delfi tanker should be removed from the Black Sea by July 20
