Pechersk district court of Kyiv extended the arrest of Yana Duhar, the suspect in the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet. Her arrest is extended until April 4 as Ukrainian News reported.
The suspect was present during the session court along with her lawyers. The prosecutors insisted on the extension of the arrest as Duhar is married to a citizen of Iraq. The law enforcers are concerned that she will escape from the country to husband.
The lawyers stated that Yana Duhar does not communicate with her husband for two years.
During the stay under the house arrest, the suspect did not try to leave the country; her passports kept by law enforcers.
As we reported, National police detained the persons of interests in case of the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet. They are also notified of suspicion.

Ukrainian journalist Pavlo Sheremet was killed in Kyiv in the morning of July 20, 2016. His car exploded in the city’s downtown. The vehicle belonged to his civilian wife, Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainska Pravda outlet Olena Prytula; she was not in the car at the moment. The Ukrainian police qualified the explosion as intentional homicide.
