The Security Service filed requests to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office on international legal aid

The Security Service of Ukraine has requested international legal aid in the criminal proceeding in case of Anatoliy Shariy. The request was filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office as the SBU reported.

“The Security Service of Ukraine filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office the requests on the international legal aid and necessary materials for organization and holding of investigative actions in the territory of other countries in the criminal proceeding in the case of Anatoliy Shariy,” the message said.

It is noted that during the pretrial investigation, the fact was exposed of the putting of knowingly false information during the re-registration of the Party of Shariy. The mentioned information put in the United register of pretrial investigation due to the forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seal and stamps. These materials were filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office for a further legal response.

On February 16, the SBU served charges in state treason to Anatoliy Shariy, blogger and politician.

According to investigators, Shariy was carrying out illegal activities to detriment Ukraine's national security in the information sphere.

In his turn, Shariy stated that the Security Service of Ukraine did not serve him charges officially. He read about it on the Telegram channel.

Later, the SBU put Shariy on the wanted list.
