Servant of the People MP meet Giuliani: Investigations against ex-top officials discussed

Servant of the People MP Oleksandr Dubinsky met personal lawyer of Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani who arrived in Kyiv as the MP reported on Facebook.

According to Dubinsky, the meeting took place at the initiative of Giuliani.

During the meeting with Trump’s lawyer, Dubinsky shared plans on the creation of the parliamentary investigation commission, which aim is to investigate the illegal actions of the number of politicians and officials. Particularly, it is planned that the commission will investigation of the embezzlement of multi-billion-dollar sums from the Ukrainian budget during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Yanukovych, investment of the stolen money in the government bonds of Ukraine with the complicity of Valeria Gontareva, budgetary losses from debt restructuring with the complicity of Finance Ministry Natalia Yaresko.

Besides, Dubinsky informed Giuliani about the intentional blocking of the creation of such commission by different officials, including the international financial structures, particularly, the IMF.

Earlier the mass media reported that Rudy Giuliani, U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, met with former Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko on December 4. He visited Kyiv on Thursday to meet with Ukrainian prosecutors Konstantin Kulyk and Viktor Shokin.

The goal of Giuliani's visit to Hungary and Ukraine is to provide Trump’s supporters with new materials to undermine the House of Representatives' impeachment inquiry and, eventually, the Senate trial.

However, U.S. Charge d'Affairs in Ukraine William Taylor refused to comment on information on the stay of lawyer of U.S. President Donald Trump and ex-Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani in Kyiv.
