The security service of Ukraine should conduct an investigation into the circumstances of Lviv's “garbage blockade” and bring the perpetrators to justice. This was stated by the head of the President's Office Andriy Bogdan, as he visited Lviv, UNN news agency reports.

“All the statements that Mr. Sadovy sounded can be considered a statement of crime; this is about the environmental safety of the state, this is about the security of the whole city. Such a statement about the crime should be mentioned in the Unified State Register. And I think the Security Service has the duty to effectively investigate who gave the command, who was given the command, how they performed it, how they blocked the city, and what units were involved. And whoever was directly involved in the illegal orders should be brought to justice," he said.

In turn, Ukrainian President Zelensky said that he wanted to hear the names of people who contributed to the pressure on the executive branch to create a “garbage blockade”, as well as the names of those involved in the arson of the Grybovychi waste deposit.

We remind that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky departed to Lviv and Zakarpattia regions with one-day working visit as the President’s Office reported.

The meeting with the leaders of the public opinion in Lviv region is planned for today.

In Zakarpattia, the president will inspect with the work of the Uzhhorod international checkpoint. Then, he will hold the meeting on equipment of border guard, customs and road infrastructure.

“Besides, the program of the president’s visit includes a presentation of newly appointed heads of Lviv and Zakarpattia Regional State Administrations”,” the message said.
