Security Service exposes anti-Ukrainian agitators from Mykolaiv, Odesa

The workers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have exposed the anti-Ukrainian internet agitators in the group consisting of four citizens of Mykolaiv and four citizens of Odesa, as the SBU reported.

“The members of the networks spread the materials with the signs of the separatist content in the regional and state segments of the Internet. They aim for the artificial escalation of the public and political situation in the region on the eve and during the presidential elections in the country,” the message said.

It is reported that the perpetrators obeyed to the Russian curators and spread the information materials with the signs of the urges to change the borders of the state border of Ukraine in Vkontakte social media through the anti-Ukrainian societies News-Front Novorossiya South-East front, Republic Novorossiya anti-Maidan.

The members of the network got the money reward for their work through the money transfer services, which were put on the sanctions list and which are banned in Ukraine, particularly, Gold Crown and Webmoney.

The SBU stated that the Russian curators spread information about the impossibility to hold the honest elections of the president in Ukraine since the end of 2018. Russia stokes the inter-confessional conflicts amid the delivering of Tomos to Ukraine.  Besides, the Russian special services continue to spread propaganda materials with anti-state content.

Earlier, SBU exposed the spy ring of the Chief Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Donbas.

Besides, Ukraine’s Security Service detained Deputy Head of Kharkiv City Council Department under suspicion of cooperation with Russian special services.
