National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump, Robert O'Brien said the United States cannot promise eternal military assistance to Ukraine. He stated this on the air of CBS channel.

"I can’t promise that the United States will do something forever, but so far we are the first administration to send weapons to Ukraine, I think this is very important," Trump's advisor said.

He added that the Trump administration is currently ready to provide assistance to Ukraine.

He also said that the United States hopes for an agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

As reported, the US State Department has unblocked the allocation of $ 141 million of military assistance to Ukraine even before President Donald Trump announced on September 11 that the moratorium on such assistance was lifted.

The White House freeze on assistance to Ukraine -- including a separate $250 million package of military aid from the Defense Department -- has become a central issue in House impeachment hearings, where witnesses say Trump ordered the assistance halted to force Ukraine to announce investigations into Joe Biden and other Democrats.
