Kurz may become the youngest Prime Minister in Europe

According to the preliminary data, the Austrian People's Party headed by 31-year-old Sebastian Kurz won in the election to the parliament, as the BBC reports.

The party received 36.45% of the votes, while the Freedom Party of Austria took second place with 29.36%. The Social Democratic Party of Austria received 22.89% of the votes.

This way Sebastian Kurz may become the youngest Prime Minister in Europe. Before the election, Mr Kurz served as Europe's youngest-ever foreign minister, after he was appointed in 2013 aged just 27.
