“I just thought it was in the best interest of our communications department, of our press organization, to not have too many cooks in the kitchen,” Spicer told in an interview for Fox News.
As it was reported earlier, Seans Spicer resigned due to alleged disagreements with communications director Anthony Scaramucci and disapproving his appointment.
Sarah Sanders took his post as the White House Press Secretary.
Since 2011, Spicer was communications director of the Republican National Committee from 2011. In 2015, he became the party’s chief strategist.
