Arnold Schwarzenegger, the renowned movie star and the host of Celebrity Apprentice TV show in the U.S., offered President Donald Trump to 'switch jobs'.
Earlier today, Trump said that the TV show’s broadcast figures started to decrease since Schwarzenegger took over as the host, The Hill wrote.
‘They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger to take my place, and we know how that turned out,’ Trump said during the annual National Prayer Breakfast.
In turn, the actor uploaded a video on his Twitter account, in which he offered to switch roles. ‘Hey Donald I have a great idea. Why don’t we switch jobs? You take over TV, because you’re such an expert in ratings, and I take over your job," said Schwarzenegger in a video. "And then people can finally sleep comfortable again.’
Trump used to host the TV show himself, but in 2015 he was sacked due to the scandals that emerged during the 2016 presidential campaign. The vacant post went to Schwarzenegger, and Celebrity Apprentice went back on air in January 2017.
The actor, widely known as the Republicans supporter, said he would not support Trump during the presidential race; that’s the first time since 1983 that he refused to support the candidate from this party. During the campaign, Schwarzenegger also expressed support for Hillary Clinton, the former candidate from the Democrats.
