The Security Service of Ukraine received a message about the planned assassination of President Volodymyr Zelensky and an armed attack on the building of the Verkhovna Rada. This is reported by the Strana with reference to a source in the Security Service.
"The caller was quickly identified. He turned out to be a man with a shattered psyche, a beggar. He called from someone else's phone, which he borrowed from a woman for two minutes," the message says.
The caller introduced himself as Volodymyr Georgiev. When he got a call from the SBU, a woman, an employee of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, answered the phone and said that she had borrowed the phone.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings on this fact.
According to the Segodnya newspaper, the SBU will soon publish the full version of the events on its website.
As we reported, at the beginning of this year in Kryvyi Rih, a pensioner threatened to blow up the apartment of Zelensky's parents because of a small pension.
The police found the caller at his house, he was intoxicated.
