Ukraine’s State Border Guard and the SBU, the Security Service, busted six Russian citizens who attempted to cross Ukraine’s state border. Five of them were detained at Boryspil international airport upon arrival from Minsk, Belarus. Another man had a military card, a dog tag of the Russian military and a camouflage cloak. Each of them had the same amount of money – 100,000 Russian rubles (USD 1,665). The State Border Guard’s press department reported that on Friday.
Some of the men reportedly have links to the criminal gang, involved in crimes in the banking sector.
Another Russian who also came from Minsk landed in Zhuliany airport in Kyiv. He turned to be in the database of the State Border Guard, and proved to have links with the illegal armed units fighting the government troops in the eastern Ukraine. He carried the medal ‘For the return of Crimea’, which was personally granted him by the Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu.
The identities of the detained men are being confirmed.
