The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is disturbed by the political position of Ukrainian MP and PACE member Nadiya Savchenko. Leonid Yemets, her counterpart in the Ukrainian parliament and member of the Ukrainian delegation in the PACE, posted this at Facebook.

‘The stance of our colleague Savchenko didn’t go unnoticed, a lot of issues are being raised,’ Yemets wrote. When asked later that day whether Savchenko will be excluded from the delegation, he said that the Ukrainian parliament should consider this issue next week.

Nadiya Savchenko is former Air Force pilot and political prisoner who spent almost two years in the Russian prison; currently, she’s the Ukrainian MP and member of the Ukrainian delegation in the PACE. Most recently, she visited Minsk for talks with pro-Kremlin separatists fighting Ukrainian troops in Donbas. This evoked heated discussions, amidst the Russia-ignited hybrid war in Ukraine.
