The issue of inequality in women's and men's salaries, which takes place in Ukraine, should be discussed and resolved at the government level. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman took the initiative during Ukrainian Women's Congress, reports the press service of the government.

"I am glad that, for example, the representation of women in the government is growing. One-fifth part of the government is women. And I know that women demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and high quality. It would be unfair not to notice or admit it. And now we need to eliminate wage inequality.

For some reason, women get less money. The problem requires an immediate solution. If there are proposals for a systemic resolving, we will consolidate the majority for the decision-making,” says Volodymyr Groysman.

In Ukraine, the average monthly salary of women is only 80% of the average monthly salary of men. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.

"The first half of 2017 showed us that the average monthly salary of women is only 80% of the average monthly salary of men. Of course, we see some improvementі compared to previous years, when this percentage was 70 or less, but it is obvious that we have something to work on," said Rozenko.
