The top officials of Ukraine get even higher salary than in Poland, although the key economic indicators in Ukraine are far worse, and common workers in the state sector of Ukraine, and not only in the state sector, still get next to nothing.
Volodymyr Kompaniyets, the author, shares with original of this article on Facebook.
So, there is the promised information on the salaries of members of the Polish government and the leadership from the study of the effectiveness of fighting against corruption through a sharp rise in officials’ salaries.

Salaries and bonuses for heads of ministries:
According to Economy Minister Tymofy Mylovanov, all bonuses restrictions should be lifted, and his MPs should now receive a market payment of at least $ 6,064. In December, the MPs were paid from $6,050 to $ 8,268.
All accrued salaries and bonuses since 2002 have been strictly regulated by the President of Poland and have been tied to the base rate in the country (kwota bazowa).
Deputy Ministers may not receive salaries of more than 4* kwota bazowa, bonuses for additional functions in the amount of 1.2 * kwota bazowa and additional payment for civil service from 5 to 20%.
In 2019, kwota bazowa for civil servants amounted to $ 456.30, according to which the Deputy Ministers could have a maximum of $2,372.60 + 5– 20% of additional pay for working experience.
Central Bank's Heads Salaries:
The head of the National Bank of Ukraine declared a salary in the amount of $17,661 in December 2019.
According to the President of Poland, the salary of the Head of the Central Bank may not be higher than 6.2 *kwota bazowa, bonuses for additional functions of 2 *kwota bazowa and additional payment for the length of civil service from 5 to 20%.
Accordingly, the salary of the head of the Central Bank of Poland could be a maximum of $3,741.66 + from 5 to 20% extra pay for working experience + bonuses.
Take into account that the cost of living in Poland is higher than in Ukraine.
P.S. I am not a supporter of low salaries for civil servants, but there should be fair salary cost at all levels, not just for the top officials, and most importantly, the key principle in the country should be the inevitability of harsh punishment for corruption.
