The former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili can enter the territory of Ukraine without obstructions and there are no law foundations to extradite him in the future. The political party Movement of New Forces reported this at Facebook.

The advocate of Saakashvili Pavlo Bogomazov got the official response from the SBU, the National Police, the Ministry of Justice and State Border Guard Service on his written appeals concerning the ban from entry to Ukraine for Saakashvili. According to the published response dated July and August, the former Georgian leader can cross the Ukrainian border and the law enforcements and bodies of the executive power will not fulfill the order on the ban from entry.

‘Consequently, there are no law foundations to prevent Mikheil Saakashvili from the crossing of the Ukrainian border at the checkpoint Krakovets on September 10. Any attempts of the law enforcements to not let Saakashvili to Ukraine can be treated as the criminal and those that break the legislation of Ukraine’, the Movement of New Forces said.

The Deputy of the Head of the State Border Guard Service Vasyl Servatyuk claimed that Mikheil Saakashvili will not be let to enter the territory of Ukraine in August. According to him, the Border Guard Service of Ukraine has the proper order of the migration service and the decree of the president of Ukraine on the revocation of the Ukrainian citizenship of Saakashvili.

The General Prosecutor’s Office noted that Saakashvili can hold administratively liable in the case of the illegal crossing of the border and entry to Ukraine will become possible for him when he receives a visa.

Saakashvili claimed to return to Ukraine from Poland on September 10. His political party claimed that the press secretary of the Movement of New Forces was detained at the Ukrainian-Polish border at the checkpoint on September 2.

As it was reported earlier Poroshenko revoked Ukrainian citizenship of Saakashvili. The State Migration Service of Ukraine confirmed this.

The department explained that Saakashvili lost the citizenship on the basis of the point 2, article 19 of the Decree on Citizenship, precisely on the basis of the false data that is indicated on the form. Saakashvili wrote that he is not under the investigation in Ukraine or in any other country but it is known that the former president was arrested in absentia in Georgia.
