The former head of the Odesa Regional State Administration and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili intends to appear for questioning at the Security Service on Tuesday, December 26. This is reported by "Ukrainian News" with reference to the press service of Saakashvili.
The interrogation is scheduled for 11:00. Before that, he plans to make a statement with the lawyers for the media.
It should be noted that earlier Saakashvili was in the General Prosecutor's Office, but refused of interrogation, demanding the transfer of his case to the SBU. Saakashvili did not attend the interrogation in the Security Service of Ukraine last Friday.
The ex-head of the Odesa Regional State Administration was detained on December 8 late in the evening and taken to the temporary detention facility of the SBU. Earlier, Attorney General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the protests organized by Saakashvili under the building of the Verkhovna Rada were financed by the comrades-in-arms of former President Viktor Yanukovych. Among other things, the name of the runaway oligarch Sergei Kurchenko sounded.
It should be noted that this was the second attempt of detention, after the first one it was impossible to summon Saakashvili to the Security Service - law enforcers were prevented by his political supporters who made clashes with the police.
