Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the recognition of documents of individual parts of Donetsk and Luрansk regions (ORDLO) contradicts the logic of the Minsk agreements. He stated this at a briefing in Munich, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
"This is the logic of conscious escalation, logic that passes through Avdiivka and it's not just logic of military escalation - this is the logic of humanitarian escalation. And now this decree, which fundamentally, and I stress, absolutely fundamentally contradicts the very logic of the Minsk agreements, and we understand why it was done, "- Foreign Minister said.
Klimkin said that he was surprised when Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting of Normandy format ministers called ORDLO representatives "authorized representatives".
"What struck me ... Mr. Lavrov called the representatives of the illegal and illegitimate entities authorized representatives," Klimkin said.
