President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko claimed that the Russian troops will never enter the Ukrainian territory from his country. He said so in an interview with reporter Dmytro Gordon, on his Youtube channel.
"Never! All the more with guns", he replied when asked if Russians could invade Ukraine from Belarusian soil.
Lukashenko also stated that Russians will never be involved in guarding the Belarusian border. He said he once himself served in the Border Guard, and his cousins and children served in the Border Guard Special Forces, so he has his own specific stance in this regard. "This is my dometsic border, and I'm the only one to protect it. No Russians, whoever they are, no Americans, no French... it's just us", he said.
Russia-Belarus relations have been worsening lately, as Belarusians detained mercenaries from Russia's Wagner PMC group on their sovereign territory. Lukashenko claimed that Russia has been waving hybrid war against Belarus.
