Russian prosecution pressed final charges against 24 Ukrainian sailors illegally held in the Russian jail. Nikolai Polozov, the coordinator of the team of Ukrainian sailors posted that on Facebook.
"The investigation department of Russia's FSB pressed charges against all 24 captured Ukrainian sailors in the final edition. Filing accusations in the final edition means the end of investigation actions related to the collection of evidence. The next stage would be considering the case materials", Polozov said.
The Russian court is to consider the extension of freedom restriction for all Ukrainian POWs on July 17 - at least, it's the preliminary date.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said his team was working hard to see the Ukrainian sailors released from captivity in Donbas. The head of the state said so during the speech in Odesa, where he came with the working visit. "We work day and night in order to bring the captured sailors home. I do everything for the words about the release to finally become the real hugs with our guys", Zelensky said.
July 7, the Ukrainian leader came to Odesa and Luhansk regions with working visits. In Odesa, he joined the festivities timed to the Ukrainian Navy Day.
24 Ukrainian sailors were captured in Kerch Strait near the Russian-occupeid Crimea in November 2018.
