Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who is close to Putin, said he was ready to tell the US Congress about his ties with the ex-head of the Trump election headquarters, Paul Manafort. This is reported by RIA Novosti referring to The Wall Street Journal paid material.

"I am ready to take part in any hearings in the US Congress on this issue in order to defend my reputation and name," states in Deripaska's official statement published in the newspaper.

In a statement, Deripaska called a lie the information of The Associated Press about signing a $ 10 million contract with Manafort annually to promote the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Eastern Europe.

"I want to resolutely deny this malicious statement and a lie, I've never made any commitments and never signed contracts to promote the interests of Putin's government," he said.

As reported, The Associated Press wrote an article stating that Paul Manafort received millions of dollars from Deripaska for promoting Putin's interests. The contract of Manafort and Deripaska lasted at least from 2006 to 2009.
