Russian military escalation against Ukraine is quite possible in the next few months. Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported that as quoted by UNN news agency.

Replying to the question if there's a threat of a new escalation in Donbas in the next months, the official said: "Taking into consideration things that are now occurring in the world, considering the situation in Belarus, Moldova and Karabakh, we believe there is such a threat, and it's been there all the time".

"You know that Russia is now trying political influence. It's been investing huge money in pro-Russian political forces, aiming to reach Russian-speaking population. You know that Mr. Lavrov (Russian Foreign Minister, - 112 International) once claimed that they have not been protecting Russians, but Russophones all over the world. That's why promotion of Russian language has been a dominant for them, not only in Ukraine, but also in the entire world. They've been putting a lot of funds in this", Danilov stated.
