One of the attacks in Syrian Aleppo claimed the life of Russian officer, the military counselor to Assad’s regime. Colonel Ruslan Galitskiy died due to the injuries that he suffered during the shelling of a living quarter in the war-torn city. Interfax news agency reported this with the reference to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
‘Russian combat medics spent several days, trying to save his life. The officer was severely wounded during an artillery strike landed by the militants of the so-called ‘opposition’ in western Aleppo,’ the ministry reported.
By the Kremlin’s official estimates, 23 Russian military men have perished since the beginning of the military conflict in Syria.
