Russian MFA announces meeting of Russian, Ukrainian Foreign Ministers in Munich

Russian Foreign Ministry announced an upcoming meeting of Foreign Minister Lavrov with Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, according to their website.

At the same time, the Russian MFA hasn’t confirmed that there will be a Normandy Four meeting at the level of Foreign Ministers at the conference.

“We can’t confirm, but the question of holding a meeting in the Normandy Four format is being discussed,” spokesperson of the Russian MFA Maria Zakharova said.

The Munich Security Conference is to be held on Feb. 16-18. Previously, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that holding a Normandy Four meeting during the conference was being discussed. If it happens, it will be at the level of the countries’ Foreign Ministers.
