“The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Crimea and Sevastopol city opened the criminal case against Chair of public association Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov who is charged with the organization of mass unrests involving violence,” the message said.
The Investigative Committee accuses Chubarov of ‘the organization of mass unrest near the building of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea’.
“In the result of the mass unrests organized by Mejlis leader, the extraordinary session of the lawmakers of the Supreme Council was disrupted, at least 80 Crimeans were injured and got traumas of varying degrees of severity, two of them – a man and a woman – died,” the message said.
Refat Chubarov commented on this information on Facebook and noted that “Moscow tries to intimidate all of us on the eve of May 3 – the date of holding of the international peace non-violent campaign World against violation and occupation.
