The Security Service of Ukraine prevented the assault on the office of the All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland in Kyiv. It was planned by the Russian intelligence agency. The Chief of Security Department of the National Statehood of SBU Viktor Kononenko, claimed this at briefing on June 26. Interfax reported this.
'The Security Service of Ukraine received the immediate information about the intentions of the Russian intelligence agency to create the artificial conditions for the mass unrest in Ukraine. The task to organize the assault with the using of the explosive items and flame liquids on the Fatherland office was set to the persons who hide on the Russian territory from the Ukrainian justice', Kononenko reported.
'The intention of the intelligence agency aimed to scold the Ukrainian political elite and authorities and provoke the mass unrest during the celebration of the Ukrainian Constitution Day', he emphasized.
The Chairman of SBU Vasyl Grytsak informed the President of Ukraine about the received immediate information and the communication between the workers of the intelligence agency and the Head of the Security Service of the All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland was set.
The workers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained 3 malefactors, the citizens of Lviv Regions when they attempted to throw 13 bottles with flame liquids to the office of the Fatherland at 4:30 on June 26.
