Russia exercises its sovereign right by stationing its troops on the territory of the country. This was the response of the Russian Embassy in Washington to the request of the Financial Times, published on Facebook.

"Does Russia have any response to US officials estimating that Russia could invade Ukraine with 175000 troops early next year? Russia is not a threat to any country. The deployment of Russian troops on the national territory is our sovereign right and no one's business. Last spring hysterical estimations of the U.S. officials on alleged Russian preparations for invasion in Ukraine proved to be wrong, "the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement.
