The Russian delegation left the UN General Assembly Hall before the speech of Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite. This is reported by Interfax.
Grybauskaite became the 14th speaker.
The President of Lithuania devoted all her speech to the issue of Russian aggression.
In particular, she said that the Russian-Belarusian exercises West-2017, which take place from September 14 to September 20, is the Kremlin's training of the scenario of an attack on its neighbors.
"Today, the word" peace "is very complex, the authoritarian regime continues to kill, today attention is focused on North Korea and some other regions, but the same methods of blackmail, bullying and aggression are used both in Russia and Ukraine and along NATO's eastern border. At the time of this meeting, about 100,000 Russian military personnel are taking part in the West-2017 exercise, the Kremlin is now working out a scenario of attacking its neighbors and preparing its servicemen for an attack on the West, "she said.
According to Grybauskaite, such exercises are part of an information war that aims to spread uncertainty and fear.
