Humanitarian Pause in the Syrian city of Aleppo is extended for a day, reports the head of the Defense Ministry Sergey Shoygu, according to "TASS".
"On behalf of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin made a decision to extend the humanitarian pause for a day. Extending humanitarian pause in Aleppo was supported by the leadership of the Syrian Arab Republic," - the minister said.
As we reported earlier Russia and Syria suspended air attacks on Aleppo. Air strikes were halted on October 18 in preparation for the "humanitarian pause" on 20 October.
Let us remind, Russian General Staff announced the start of a "humanitarian pause" in Aleppo on October 20.
The UN believes that the eight-hour humanitarian pause in Aleppo will not be sufficient to deliver the necessary assistance.
