Russia’s fleet in the Mediterranean attacked what the Russian Defense Ministry refers to as ISIS positions in the area of Palmyra, Syria.
‘Frigate Admiral Essen and submarine Krasnodar fired four cruise missiles Kalibr, which hit the area of Palmyra in Syria. The Defense Ministry says that the strikes landed on the ISIS infrastructure,’ RIA Novosti reported, specifying that missiles hit the area to the east of the city, where heavy weaponry and troops were amassed.
The Russian side said they timely informed U.S., Turkish and Israeli military command about the launch of their cruise missiles.
