Russian court sentences Nemtsov’s killer to 20 years of imprisonment

Prosecutors asked for a life imprisonment

Moscow military court ruled out a verdict in the case of murder of politician Boris Nemtsov. Zaur Dadaev, found by the court as the direct perpetrator, was sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime colony, Meduza reports.

Prosecutor asked for a life imprisonment.

The prosecutor also asked for a 3,300 dollars fine and to strip him of his lieutenant rank and the Order of Courage. These demands were satisfied by the court.

All defendants in case of Boris Nemtsov murder do not admit their guilt.

Earlier, the jury announced the verdict: the killer Zaur Dadaev was found guilty of having committed an attempt on the oppositionist. Dadaev was found guilty by 10 jury members, only two voted against.

As it was reported earlier Poroshenko siad that Nemtsov will always be Russia’s patriot and friend of Ukraine. "His life has proved that it is possible to combine both", says guarantor.
