We recall that in Syria since 2011 the civil war continues - a multilateral, multi-level armed conflict that began as a local civil confrontation and gradually evolved into an uprising against the regime of Bashar Assad. Over time, it involved not only the main states of the region, but also international organizations, military-political groups and world powers. Military actions in the course of the conflict are characterized by extreme cruelty and massive suffering of civilians.

The Russian military campaign in Syria began on September 30, 2015. The coalition has repeatedly accused Moscow of supporting the Assad regime, which Western accused of mass violations of human rights.
