Ukrainian court sentenced the agent recruited by Russian special service to six years in prison; the culprit is found quilty in preparation of a terrorist act in Mariupol (Donetsk region). Press office of the SBU, Ukraine's Security Service reported that on May 13.
"The Russian special service agent busted by the SBU counter-intelligence has been sentenced to six years of imprisonment. The culprit gathered data about the units of Ukraine's Armed Forces and prepared a terrorist act on one of military objects in Mariupol", the message said.
Besides, during the detention, the SBU workers seized a homemade explosive device. According to the experts, the power of explosion of this device equals that of twelve F-1 hand grenades.
The pre-trial investigation found out that the resident of Donetsk region was recruited by Russia's FSB, the federal security service; he arrived in Mariupol for reconnaissance and subsequent preparation of a terrorist act.
