The SBU, Security Service of Ukraine has busted the agent of Russian special services who planned a number of terrorist acts in Odesa region. Press office of the SBU reported that on January 10.

"The perpetrator was detained "on the spot" when he was recruiting another agent for future crimes", reads the report.

It appeared that a foreign citizen would come to Ukraine from time to time with a mission from Russian special services. He set a military vehicle on fire in December 2021, and also poured some paint on monument of the Ukrainians who perished in the war with Russia.

The next targets of the agent were to be the offices of volunteer and socio-political structures of patriotic orientation, as well as military equipment in the Odessa region. Law enforcers detained the organizer during his meeting with the executor. The perpetrator had a new task to set fire to military equipment; he already received the money for the previous arson of an army vehicle.

Ukrainian investigators notified the man of suspicion of a terrorist act. The culprit is now in custody.
