Russia will not support the French draft resolution regarding the sending of observers to Aleppo. This was stated by Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin, according to "RIA Novosti".

"We believe that what they offer - is impossible and dangerous", - said Churkin.

Earlier he stated that Russia now intends to submit to the UN Security Council new proposals concerning the situation in Aleppo.

"We have a very simple ideas, and if they support these simple ideas, we can have a proper resolution adopted today", - said Churkin.

Let us remind that today, on December 18 the UN Security Council will vote in favour of the resolution on sending observers in Aleppo.

Previously, the idea to send to Aleppo international observers who will monitor the process of evacuation of residents was endorsed by Barack Obama. According to him, Aleppo requires the presence of impartial international force to help to coordinate and organize the evacuation of people through the safe corridors.
