Presidential Assistant Yuriy Ushakov stated that the Russian Federation wants "iron-clad agreements" on the forthcoming Normandy format Summit, which will be recorded on paper. Interfax News Agency stated that.
"There are three important preconditions, which, as we imagine, in case to be implemented, will provide the success of the Summit," Ushakov said.
The Assistant of the President of the Russian Federation also added that Russia considered it important to record the so-called Steinmeier formula within the Contact Group.
"(The formula - ed.) which provides that the law about the special status of Donbas comes into effect on a provisional basis on the elections day and on an ongoing basis - after the elections and the final report of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of OSCE," he added.
Ushakov noted that it was necessary to prepare the text which might be adopted by the state leaders of the Normandy Four at the end of the Summit.
"This is very important. The Summit should be recorded on the paper," the Presidential Assistant underlined.
According to him, there are no chances for the Summit in the Normandy format to be held on the next week.
"If the work continues, we сan not exclude October," he stated.
