Ukraine's Border Guards banned entry for a Russian reporter working for Russia Today company. The man was deprived of the rignt to enter Ukraine for three years, as it appeared that he had previously visited the temporarily occupied Crimea. The State Border Guard reported that on Thursday.
Citizen of the Russian Federation drove by car from Russia across Ukraine to Moldova, choosing Kuchurgan checkpoint in Odesa region to cross.
"The man claimed he planned to drive from Russia to Moldova in transit. However, the database worked during the passport control. It appeared that the border guards already had previous information on illegal visits of Russia-occupied Crimea", reads the message.
The reporter previously flied to Crimea by plane; there, he shot videos for Russia Today. As he violated the order of entrance to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, Border Guards banned entrance for the foreigner, and banned the entrance to Ukraine", the authority claimed.
