President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has stated that the Russian Federation will supply Belarus with dozens of aircrafts, helicopters and air defense systems, as reported by BELTA.

“Dozens of planes, dozens of helicopters and the most important air defense weapons will be delivered to us from the Russian Federation in the near future. Maybe even C-400. We really need them, I have already said that,” Lukashenko stated.

He added that additional weapons might be purchased after the Zapad-2021 exercise.

In late July, Lukashenko stated that he was ready to deploy the Russian Armed Forces in the republic if necessary for the security of the Union State.
