Andreas Friganas, Greece Ambassador in Russia was called to the MFA of the Russian Federation to be informed about retaliatory measures in response to the expelling of the Russian diplomats by Athens. Reads the message of the MFA of the Russian Federation on Twitter.

‘On August 6, Andreas Friganas, Greece Ambassador in Russia was called to the Russian MFA, where he was given a note, which informs on the taken measures by the Russian side in response to the unfriendly acts of Athens in July of 2018 regarding the Russian diplomatic officials and citizens,’ reads the message.

Reportedly, the Greece government sent off two Russian diplomats and banned the entrance for another two officials due to the threat of the National Security. Russians are blamed with attempts to meddle with Greece's internal affairs and the illegal activity, which undermines the basics of the national security.
