Russia threaten to respond to deportation of its journalist from Ukraine

Russian Senator Aleksey Pushkov said the commission will consider counter measures at the nearest meeting

Russian Federation Council plans to take counter measures in response to deportation of Russian journalist Anna Kurbatova from Ukraine. Russian Senator Aleksey Pushkov wrote this in Twitter.

"At the next meeting, Federation Council commission on Information Policy will consider and offer concrete response for abduction and deportation of Kurbatova," he said.

As it was reported earlier Channel One Russia claimed their journalist was abducted in Kyiv. During her last trip to Kyiv, Anna Kurbatova covered the Independence Day celebration in Ukraine.

Later the press secretary of Ukraine’s Security Service Olena Hitlianska reported that Anna Kurbatova has been deported from Ukraine with a three year ban from entering the country.

“Russian propagandist Anna Kurbatova, against whom the decision of deportation from Ukraine was taken, has already crossed the Ukraine-Russia border, She is banned from entering the country for three years,” the message says.

Hitlianska added that the decision has been reached sue to Kurbatova’s activity, that hindered the public interests of Ukraine.
