Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denysova insists on the early visit of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov due to the critical state of his health as 112 Ukraine reported.
“We insist on our visit to Oleg Sentsov as soon as possible as his state is critical. We are assured that he is almost not starving and in a normal state but we can confirm or belie this only when we see him personally. So, we continue to insist on the early visit of Oleg Sentsov,” she said.
Also, she reported on the end of the negotiation in the office of Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights.
“Preliminary, we did not confirm the roadmap offered by them”, she said.
According to ombudswoman, the Russian side offered to visit Omsk on June 16. Ukrainian Dmytro Shtyblikov is captivated there.
“The issue of the visit of Oleg Sentsov is open. We insist on the early visit to Labytnangi (Tymen Oblast) where Oleg is captivated but Russia offers the possible date of the visit after June 22. It does not suit us at all. We will continue to insist to go there in the nearest days,” Denysova said.
Ombudswoman Denysova went to Russia for meeting with the Ukrainian political prisoners.
Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov has announced a hunger strike on May 14. This way, he demands that all Ukrainians detained in Russia and annexed Crimea be released. Sentsov said he was ready to die if the requirements were not fulfilled.
